Nearly four decades of prayer and fellowship.
From a single feeding table in Tacoma to a fellowship reaching across denominations and continents — the story of UIPFA is a story of intercession.
A Feeding Program Begins
On March 4, Dr. Edna Travis begins a feeding program at New Covenant Pentecostal Tabernacle in Tacoma — a table that would eventually serve 1,500–1,800 guests monthly.
UIPFA Is Founded
Dr. Travis, a devout intercessory prayer warrior, founds the United Interdenominational Full Gospel Prayer & Fellowship Association, calling believers across denominations into one family of prayer.
The Midnight Cry
For three years Dr. Travis is heard across the Pacific Northwest on KBLE and KLAY 1480 as the “Midnight Cry Messenger,” carrying prayer into the airwaves.
A Fellowship of Ministries
Members of New Covenant go on to found more than thirty ministries worldwide, extending the reach of the fellowship far beyond the Northwest.
A Homegoing, A Continuing Mission
Dr. Travis is called home after serving as President of the Association since its founding. The vision continues under new leadership.
Under the Presiding Prelate
Apostle Dr. A.P. Barker leads UIPFA as Presiding Prelate, gathering pastors, intercessors, and members for a new season of unity, service, and holy convocation.
